Effective leadership is not about the leader – it is about the path.

At Fraikin, effective leadership means one thing: creating the clearest pathway for every team to achieve higher results grounded in the values I expect from every leader: integrity, responsibility, and transparency.

One of our project managers said something that stopped me: “When you appointed me, I doubted we could reach the target. Delivering the NeXa digital platform on time showed me that what teams can achieve is far greater than I had ever imagined.”

That is not an isolated moment, it is the pattern we see since 2023, from headquarters to every depot in ten countries: onboarding and developing talent at every level, so that leaders discover their ceiling was higher than they imagined, because someone cleared the path.

When these values are daily behaviours rather than aspirations, what teams can achieve will always surprise you. Have you experienced a moment where your team achieved more than you believed possible?

Leadership cannot be read from a distance, GO TO THE GEMBA. In my experience, within the first three minutes of any exchange there, what is said and how it is said reveals whether leadership is intrinsic or not. The direction and purpose created for the team always gives it away.
